This session with Cici and Kevin in Flagstaff, Arizona was just that: effortless, grounded, and glowing with a kind of peace that’s rare to witness. As the sun filtered through the trees and spilled over the field, it felt like the world paused to hold space for them.
I’ve known Cici from the Brazilian zouk dance community in Phoenix, and I’ve always admired her energy. She's a bold and free-spirited woman but never leaves behind her spunk. Kevin felt like her perfect complement: calm, collected, and quietly radiant. Together, they had a dynamic that was both fun and foundational. Their connection was undeniably real. Photographing them felt like they were the earth for each other... so grounded and supportive.
This was my very first full cinematic couple’s session, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for better people or a better vibe. Nothing was forced. Every moment flowed naturally because they truly loved just being around each other. A friend even joked on Facebook that this looked like Asian Twilight, and now I can’t unsee it (in the best way possible).
Photographing love like this is what moves me as an artist. The timeless romance. The move-like scenes. The feeling. These images remind me why I do what I do.
